CONCERT BAND

The Concert Band is the second performing band at the Academy of Richmond County. This band performs musical selections level 2 through 4. Students will need to have a strong work ethic, and practice regiment to insure the success of the Concert Band. Students are placed into the Concert Band based on audition results. Studnet audition criteria is as follows:

Six Major Scales
Sight Reading
Chromatic Scale
Music Vocabulary Knowledge

The Cancert Band performs three times a year with two concerts at school, and one off campus. Members of the Concert Band must acquire the proper performance attire. Male players must wear black dress pants, black dress socks, black dress shoes, long sleve white button down dress shirt and a black tie. Female players must wear an all black or black and white dress. A rehearsal schedule of the concert season will post by November 1st.
