THE BANDS

The Academy of Richmond County band program is a comprhensive program. We offer marching, concert, wind, and jazz band groups. There are also opprotunites for small ensembles as needed, or upon student interest. We aim to teach students to be responsible and worthwhile citizens throught the discipline and joy of muisc production.

An audition may be required for band placement, but enrollment in the band is open to all who are serious. If you are looking for a musical, safe, and productive extra-curricular activity then look no further.

Purple Pride Marching Band

"Often imitated, never duplicated." The band performs in parades, football games, and competition around and in the CSRA.

Purple Groove Jazz Band

Performes in function both in and out of ARC. High profile group second only to the marching band.

Wind Ensemble

The top band at ARC. This band performs at LGPE, and puts on two to three concerts a year.

Concert Band

This is the second stage band. This band performs at LGPE, and puts on two to three concerts a year.

Small Ensembles

These ensembles are put together as needed, or by student request. Can range from brass, woodwind, pep band and/or percussion enselmble
